A single space pod hurtled through space, launched only moments before its home of Planet Vegeta was blasted into oblivion at the mighty finger of Frieza, the entire Saiyan race wiped out in an instant except for the one young soul sound asleep in the seat of his white space shuttle. But it was not to be left unrecognized, for a lone ship hovering away from the radius of the ensuing slaughter had immediately detected the hasty escaper.
The commander, none other than the brother of Frieza himself, watched observantly as the Saiyan sped past his viewport, towards the green planet of Earth, unwilling to waste his time hunting down one pod. Firm in his beliefs that a Saiyan could never amount to anything, that they would never pose even a small threat to him, especially not alone...
His beliefs were wrong. Terribly wrong.
Twenty-seven years had passed before the word Saiyan once more rang through the same ship that had discovered the pod so nearly three decades ago, as Cooler, the identical commander, laughed mockingly at such an idea of any survivor of the race having even the slightest power to be of any trouble to them. However, the news to follow stated otherwise, as Frieza was reported to have been completely shredded and blown up in battle against a single Super Saiyan.
Sudden shock overwhelmed both Cooler and the bridge of the ship. And now, as their mistakes are fully uncovered, the merciless Changeling warrior prepares to avenge his fallen brother, oblivious to the fact that Frieza himself, reborn in a new body, was already ahead of him in the race to destroy Earth. |
